Griff's Magical Birthday Party!!

Griff sat patiently and quietly waiting for all of his friends to arrive, on this special day. His home that he shared with his parent's, and Tiger the cat, was a cozy little cottage, in a very quiet village, right at the end of a crooked, bumpy lane.  It was a quaint little abode, very still and calm. there was plenty of time for day dreaming!  With his eyes tightly shut he began to dream of how his birthday party would go...slowly a figure started to emerge in front of him, the person was dressed in a long, shiny, dark red. tail coat, it had a beautiful velvety finish and on top of their head was perched a groovy bright red, top hat!  The figure was clasping something in their right hand, ahh yes it looked like a real magic wand!!  Suddenly the wand started to raise up, and was then struck firmly forwards infront of the figure, and in that moment there was a huge flash of white, sparkling light!! There before Griff appeared a magnificent, magical floating carpet, it shone with so many bright colours, (deep reds, golds, blues and purples), it glistened as the sun shone on it through the open window! In a split second Griff found himself sitting up upon the magical floating carpet, he grabbed onto the sides as tightly as he could as he sensed he was in for a pretty fast ride, this special carpet seemed to be in a real hurry! He was now flying around the cottage so fast he that he was being thrown from side to side and almost being thrown right off.  He was being tilted this way that way and was darting rapidly from room to room, he felt he was going at top speed, before he knew it he was flying straight out of an open window, high up into the bright blue sky, and heading for biggest, fluffiest, white cumulus clouds!!  The wind, fresh air and sense of total freedom felt like nothing else in the world, nothing that Griff had ever felt before!!  Wow! this really was totally amazing!!..."Griff Griff your first friend has arrived love, and Loopy Lou the Entertainer is here too, Griff wake up, wake up, I told you not to fall asleep dear?"
